Emmett is so close to walking! Yesterday when daddy came home, he crawled over to him, stood up and took one step. Now that I can upload videos I thought you might get a kick out of his first crawling video.

A fun day at Preschool.

Today Chloes class had a parade and carnival in honor of Halloween. The kids decorated T-shirts and made hats. I was very impressed with Chloes shirt. The front had a beautiful flower in fall colors and some ribbons and things, the back had 4 little pumpkins. Sammys class made pumpkin muffins. This is video was taken during circle time.

How big is Emmett?

SO BIG. When you ask Emmett this he normally puts 2 hands above his head. Here, he is mostly using one hand. Sometimes he says, ya ya in the same tone as we say, so big. I love the face after he hits his tray. He also shows off his waving trick. What a ham.

Big Boy Bed!

Sammy is finally in a big boy bed. We got a fantastic, crazy deal on this pottery barn bed. We put him in it Sunday night and he has loved it and done great. We haven't gotten his bedding yet, so what you see is makeshift. But he doesnt care. He loves it. By the way the bed is HUGE. The first picture is of him sound asleep with his "danky". His danky, thank godness he's still a baby!

No longer a princess, introducing King Sammy!

The kids had so much fun at Katherines birthday party. Snow White was there. Sammy really wanted to dress as Tinkerbell, but we talked him into being the king. Poor kid, princesses are all he knew. Once he got all the attention in his costume, he didn't want to take his King outfit off! Chloe was in awe when Snow White was doing the face panting.

Field Trip to Clayton Pumpkin Patch!

A Day at the Pumpkin patch.

We had wanted to go and pick apples but we really missed that one, I guess they are picked late August-September. So instead we went to livermore to IHOP for pumpkin pancakes and then to Joans pumpkin patch. We took our good family friend grammy Jean, it was a blast.

There is no doubt about it the wakefield kids are happy. Life is going well. Everyone is growing and changing so fast, too fast. Here is the latest news.

Emmett P

Today Em walked pushing a little cart we have. He took 2-3 steps, stopped lifted his hand in a wave(also a first) and kept going. He has 5 teeth which he loves to grind together and makes a person stop in their tracks. He sleeps through the night 7-7. He has been saying uh-oh for almost a month and sounds to be starting to come close to other words. He also loves music and shakes his head back and forth to the beat.

Sammy T

Wow has he changed. Potty trained since July. He is talking really well. He loves music, instruments and books. His latest love is puzzles. He will sit for long periods and work on them. He is in preschool 2 days and is very loved by all. His latest thing is doing everything by himself. If you go in his room and turn on the light. He will go in and turn it off and then back on again by himself. He says I need some help. This is very confusing because he actually means I dont need help. Sometimes he says leave me. So after some frustration we have figured out. He does NOT want help and wants to do most things by himself. He is very sweet and loving.

Chloe M.

Little miss Chloe is lots of fun. She loves to sing along with music. She very much loves dolls and stuffed animals and has one with her at all times. She loves to color and draw and can write most of her letters in uppercase. She started swimming all by herself last week. This was a huge accomplishment, first she had to get over her fear of the water. She is a great big sis and loves to play with Sammy and Em. She often has to be reminded not to carry Emmett around. Every morning she asks me, "what are we doing today." Naps are few and far between, she is such a big girl.
